BUILDING THE NARRATIVE
INSPIRATION
Medibook was inspired by my personal experience with managing medical records. Often struggling to carry prescriptions and repeatedly explaining my medical history to new doctors, I envisioned a simple, all-in-one app where users can store and access their healthcare journey, prescriptions, and drug information anytime, anywhere, with ease.
WHY AN APP?
An app is the most convenient solution for managing healthcare information because it's accessible anytime, anywhere. In emergencies, having a digital health record on your phone ensures instant access to your medical history, prescriptions, and vital information without the need for physical files or additional devices.
Behind the Screens
Research overvew
Healthcare encompasses the efforts of medical professionals to restore physical and mental well-being, including services aimed at maintaining emotional health. Managing multiple medications can be complex, especially for adults over 40 who often take five or more prescription drugs.
To navigate this challenge, Jessica Merrey, a certified geriatric pharmacist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, advises patients to take medications as prescribed, ensure timely refills, and remain vigilant about potential side effects and interactions.
